They say, good things come to those who wait, and that fittingly describes the latest 12 inch offering from Public Transit Recordings. LAL Lost Remixes is a collection of unreleased gems from the Toronto based electronic band. For those unfamiliar with LAL they represent sonic activism and the cross-cultural Canadian experience. Their music draws from South Asian, West Indian, Latin and African communities "with a deep commitment to social justice." According to lead singer Rosina, LAL is "the new Canadian sound represented by first generation from immigrant experiences, heavily influenced by European and North American culture." They will soon release their third full-length album called "Deportation".

The Lost Remixes Ep features banging remixes from Alister Johnson (Do Right), Dimlite (Sonar Kollektiv), Arch_Typ (BagPak, Raw Fusion) and PTR's own Moonstarr. Each remix brings on a unique twist to the diverse LAL sound. Alister Johnson's Saturn mix takes you through a jazz dance workout, with a serious flute solo towards the end. Dimlite's remix of Saturn takes on a more head nodding approach. While Arch_Typ's twisted up remix of Raindrops uses brushed drums and takes shuffled beats to a whole new level. Finally Moonstarr's take on Shallow Water goes back to his drum and bass roots, with a nice dirty snare thrown in. Enjoy!
